National Space Day Celebration
On 23/8/2024 our school, KASTURBA PUBLIC SCHOOL celebrated National Space Day with enthusiasm and excitement. The event aimed to inspire students to explore the wonders of space and its significance in our lives and learn the evolution of ISRO. This report highlights the activities, events, and experiences of the day.
Activities and Events:
Inaugural session
 The official program on 'National Space Day' was conducted in the auditorium. Master Abhijay Anil of class XI A welcomed everyone to the function. Our principal Mrs. Malini SV inaugurated the function. After the inauguration, the following events were conducted. The official function ended with a vote of thanks by Master Vinayak Poonka valappil of class XI A.
Events
- Video Presentation:
A fascinating video showcasing the evolution of ISRO was set up in the school auditorium and presented.
- Lecture series on chandrayan modules: A detailed lecture series on 10 modules of chandrayan was presented by plus one science students.
- Quiz Competition: A thrilling quiz competition tested students' knowledge about space-related facts, history, and evolution. The competition conducted for the classes 9 to 12 in group wise with two students in each group. 20 students participated in the quiz programme.
Highlights and Achievements:
- Lots of students participated in the celebration, displaying their passion for space exploration.
- Arjith Amal and Vijay TV of X B won the first prize in quiz competition
- Naveen J. P and Adwaith P.V of X|| won the second prize in quiz competition.
- Ramanunni C and Jamil Roj of X A and Agrya Shaji and Avanthila S Nambiar of X C shared the third prize.
The National Space Day celebration at KASTURBA PUBLIC SCHOOL was a resounding success. The event not only educated students about space but also inspired them to pursue careers in astronomy, engineering, and related fields. We look forward to hosting similar events in the future, fostering a love for space exploration and discovery among our students.
