Annual Sports Day 2024-25

On October 10, 2024, Kasturba Public School, Chirakkal, held its Annual Sports Day at Manna Ground, marking a vibrant celebration of athleticism and teamwork. The day commenced with students arriving at school by 9 AM, where they were escorted by the Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, and staff to the venue.

The program officially started at 10 AM with the School Head Girl leading the March Past. Students marched in an organized manner, representing their respective squads-Nehru, Patel, Gokhale, and Netaji-while carrying their house flags. Following the March Past, the squad leaders placed their flags in designated spots before returning to their positions.

The Principal hosted the school flag, followed by a symbolic torch relay where the Athletic Torch was passed from squad leaders to the Head Girl. This was succeeded by a prayer and an oath-taking ceremony led by the school leader. The Principal, Mrs. Malini, and Vice Principal Mr. Biji Thomas delivered speeches to inaugurate the Athletic Meet.

The opening ceremony featured captivating performances from talented students, including a pyramid display, aerobics dance, and a ball dance. Subsequently, sports events commenced for various age groups: Under 12, Under 14, Under 17, and Under 19 for both boys and girls. Events included shot put, discus throw, sprint races, and standing broad jump. Students actively participated while cheering for their houses.

Winners were recognized on the Victory Stand by manager Mr.Pradeepkumar CK, Mrs. Malini, and Mr. Biji Thomas. The competition concluded with House Netaji securing first place, while Houses Gokhale and Patel shared second place and House Nehru finished third.

The day's proceedings concluded with a command from the School Head Girl for everyone to stand at attention, followed by a harmonious rendition of the National Anthem. This Sports Day not only showcased athletic talent but also fostered a spirit of camaraderie among students.
