NATIONAL DOCTORS' DAY CELEBRATION

Kasturba Public School celebrated National Doctors' Day on 1 July 2026 with great enthusiasm to honour the dedicated service and valuable contributions of doctors and healthcare professionals.
As part of the celebration, the Pre-KG, LKG and UKG students participated in a special role-play activity. The classrooms were creatively transformed into mini hospitals and clinics, providing the little learners with an opportunity to understand the role of doctors and other healthcare professionals through play.
The children dressed up as doctors, nurses, patients, receptionists and other hospital staff. They enthusiastically enacted different situations such as welcoming patients, checking their health, using toy medical instruments, prescribing medicines, giving health advice, and caring for patients. The classroom hospital setup created an enjoyable and realistic learning experience for the young learners.
The students participated actively and confidently in the role-play, which helped them develop communication skills, confidence, teamwork, creativity, and awareness about healthcare and healthy habits. Teachers guided the children throughout the activities and explained the importance of doctors, nurses, cleanliness, hygiene, and taking care of one's health.
The celebration also included a special assembly, speeches, poster-making, gratitude card preparation, and health awareness activities. Students expressed their appreciation and gratitude towards doctors and healthcare workers for their selfless service to society.
The National Doctors' Day celebration was both educational and entertaining, giving students a meaningful opportunity to learn about the medical profession through hands-on activities and role play. The programme concluded successfully with active participation and enthusiasm from students and teachers.
