Visit to Thalassery Court – A Valuable Educational Experience

As part of the Samvada project, I, Malini S. V., Principal, along with 26 students and teachers—Ms. Sruthi, Ms. Smitha V. K., and Mr. Shanooj—visited the Thalassery Court for an insightful and enriching educational experience. We had the privilege of attending a life skills session led by Ms. Shameeja, a dedicated member of the District Child Protection Unit. The session focused on legal rights, responsibilities, and essential life skills, providing students with practical knowledge and guidance for their future. One of the highlights of the visit was witnessing live court proceedings, which offered our students a rare and valuable firsthand understanding of the judicial process. This was followed by an engaging interactive session with Honourable Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Mr. Ubaid Abdulla and Advocate Mr. Mithun. Their inspiring words and open dialogue deepened the students’ appreciation for the legal profession and underscored the role of justice in society. We also had the opportunity to explore the Court Museum, which showcased the history and evolution of the judiciary, offering educational insights into the legal heritage of our region. The hospitality and timely arrangements made by the legal authorities were truly commendable, ensuring a smooth and meaningful experience for all participants. It was a truly memorable visit—both informative and inspiring for our students and staff.
