Anti-Drug Awareness Program Kasturba Public School
On the occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (June 26), Kasturba Public School organized a special assembly and awareness program with active participation from the students of Classes 8 to 12.The program commenced at 9:30 AM in the school assembly ground. The gathering was graced by the presence of our respected Principal, Mrs. Malini S V, teachers, and students.
Programme Highlights:
1. Welcome and Address by the Principal:
The event began with a warm welcome speech by Mrs. Malini S V, where she emphasized the importance of staying away from harmful substances like tobacco and drugs. She motivated the students to be responsible citizens and to spread awareness in society.
2. Anti-Tobacco and Anti-Drug Songs:
Students from various classes presented meaningful songs conveying the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and drug abuse. The songs encouraged the audience to adopt a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
3. Oath Taking Ceremony:
All students, teachers, and staff participated in an oath-taking ceremony against tobacco use and drug abuse. The pledge affirmed the students' commitment to stay away from such substances and to promote a drug-free community.
4. Awareness Rally:
After the assembly, students of Classes 8 to 12, holding placards and banners with anti-drug messages, participated in an awareness rally within the school premises and nearby areas. The rally raised slogans promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle and discouraged drug abuse.
5. Anti-Drug Wall:
An ‘Anti-Drug Wall’ was set up on the school campus, where students creatively displayed posters, drawings, and messages against tobacco use and drug consumption. It served as a visual representation of the students' collective voice against drug abuse.
The program successfully conveyed a strong message about the harmful effects of tobacco and drugs. It motivated students to adopt healthy habits and contribute to creating a drug-free society. The active involvement of students and the inspiring leadership of Mrs. Malini S V made the event highly impactful and memorable.
