INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION AT KASTURBA PUBLIC SCHOOL

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at Kasturba Public School, Chirakkal. A series of events were organised to mark this important occasion, beginning with a Tiranga Rally on 12th August 2025. The rally held in the nearby locality, saw active participation from students and teachers. Carrying the national flag and raising patriotic slogans, students marched with discipline and zeal, spreading the message of unity, peace and national pride.

The main celebration took place on 15th August 2025. The event began at 9.00am with the hoisting of the national flag by our respected Principal Mrs. Malini S V. The moment filled everyone with pride and respect for the nation. Following the flag hoisting, the Principal addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the day, recalling the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and encouraging students to be responsible, disciplined citizens of India.

 Students then presented a patriotic group song that inspired a deep sense of national pride among the audience. This was followed by speeches in different languages, showcasing the unity in diversity of our country. Students confidently expressed their thoughts on freedom and patriotism in Hindi, English and Malayalam.

From LKG to class III, students dressed up as freedom fighters such as Mahatma Gandhi. Jawaharlal Nehru, Bhagat Singh, Rani Lakshmibai, Subhash Chandra Bose and many more. Their performance reflected the spirit of independence and love for the nation.

As a part of the celebration, a quiz competition was held at 10.00 am where students from Grades VIII to XII participated. They showcased their knowledge about India’s freedom struggle, national symbols, historical events, current affairs, science, mathematics and more.

The event concluded with the distribution of sweets among students, parents and staff. The entire celebration was a reminder of our glorious past and inspired all to contribute to the nation’s progress.

The day ended with hearts full of pride, voices echoing with patriotism and a renewed pledge to serve our motherland.
