Orientation Programme for English Teachers

An enriching Orientation Programme for English teachers of Kasturba Public School was conducted on 20th September 2025, organized by Macmillan Education under the initiative of Mr Deepak from Macmillan. The session was led by Mrs Sreedevi Vijayan, a master communicative trainer from ASAP Kerala and an Associate Professor in English Education.

The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome speech by Principal Malini S.V., who emphasized the importance of continuous professional development for teachers.

Mrs Sreedevi Vijayan then began the session, engaging the participants through a series of interactive activities. The focus of the orientation was on enhancing the LSRW skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) along with other essential language competencies. She highlighted the significance of experiential learning and shared practical techniques to make classroom teaching more effective and student-centered. The teachers actively participated, contributing to lively discussions and collaborative exercises, making the session both informative and enjoyable.

The orientation concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of Macmillan Education, Mr Deepak, and Mrs Sreedevi Vijayan for conducting a highly insightful and motivating programme. The session provided the teachers with innovative teaching strategies and renewed enthusiasm to implement dynamic and skill-oriented learning in their classrooms.
