MARTYRS' DAY

Martyrs’ Day was observed with due respect and solemnity in our school on 30th January, to commemorate the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. The programme was organised to honour the sacrifices of our national martyrs who laid down their lives for the freedom and unity of our country.The celebration began with a prayer during the morning assembly, followed by a brief introduction explaining the significance of Martyrs’ Day. Floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. The Principal-in-Charge, Mrs. Sheeba M., addressed the assembly and spoke about the importance of Martyrs’ Day and the values upheld by our national heroes. A two-minute silence was observed at 11:00 a.m. as a mark of respect to the martyrs. The programme concluded with the National Anthem. The observance instilled a sense of patriotism and respect for the sacrifices of our national heroes among the students.
